Meneer de Wit offers space to artists to experiment, create and develop. Through our Artist in Residence programme, artists can work from our premises in Amsterdam-West for a period of 6–8 weeks.

Are you a painter, director, writer, dancer, musician or working in another creative discipline? This residency gives you the time and space to deepen your practice, focus, and explore new ideas.

From2 were in residence at Meneer de Wit from mid-January to mid-March 2026. During this period, they worked on the development and recording of their new album, with a focus on collective writing, experimentation, and shared musical memories. From their indie-folk practice, the group explores how voices, stories, and personal experiences merge into a shared musical language.

The Little Menace

Lana van der Brug & Rein Postma were in residence at Meneer de Wit from mid-January to mid-March 2026 with their interdisciplinary project The Little Menace. In this collaboration, they explored the fusion of drag, performance art, and live electronic music within the nightlife scene.
